  • Where is CARES KZN based?

    Our headquarters are located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

  • Does CARES KZN operate outside KwaZulu-Natal?

    Currently, we operate exclusively within the KwaZulu-Natal province.

  • Can I get a tax certificate for my donation?

    Yes! Donations of R1000 or more qualify for an annual Section 18A certificate upon request.

  • Do I need qualifications to volunteer?

    Not at all. We welcome anyone who is willing to lend a helping hand—no formal qualifications required.

  • Where can I drop off donations?

    Please get in touch with us, and we’ll direct you to the nearest drop-off or storage location.

  • Does CARES only assist women and children?

    While our primary focus is on women and children, we do assist men in special cases or refer them to appropriate support organisations.

  • How can I or my organisation request assistance?

    Please email us with a clear motivation for your request, along with supporting documents. Kindly note that our Board selects projects annually and allocates funding accordingly, so while we do our best to assist, support is not guaranteed.

  • Does CARES KZN have its own source of income?

    At this time, we rely entirely on the generosity of our donors and community sponsors.
